My name is Bev Rae and I live in Ukiah, California in Mendocino County. My joy, my passion is taking landscape photographs. I spend a lot of time in the Eastern Sierra and Yosemite camping in my 1989 Scamp trailer. There are so many places that I would like to photograph and I hope to get to most of them. Most of my pictures will have clouds or reflections as I am drawn to them.
I got into photography after I retired in 2000 and took classes at the local junior college. The college had a photo lab and I fell in love with watching my black and white photographs magically appear in the developing tray. I began to take digital photos and to learn the software to "develop" my photos shortly after.
When I moved from San Diego to Ukiah in 2003 my photography helped me adjust to my new home. Taking pictures of the landscapes of Mendocino County helped me make peace with my new home. I began visiting Yosemite when I heard about the moonbow during full moons and every year I try to capture them.
Any photographs can be printed and matted in various sizes and can be purchased. If you are interested please contact me.
